Great Old Course
Hidden Valley is nearly 100 years old! The design of the course is fairly straightforward, but well done.
Easily walkable, and staff was friendly and fantastic! The shop dog was just hanging out to greet you by the pro shop. They really have done a good job w/ the COVID issues, and glad to support them.
The "10th hole" is a fun added hole you don't see on other courses. A separate par 3 that plays along side the 4th hole.
Unique
Idiosyncratic course. At first you wonder if they have any maintenance crew at all but it plays like a course from the 30's. It is managed as a 'green' course and is not groomed like you would expect for a modern course. They are not trying to do that, no sprays, no chemicals, weird possessive locals. A different experience but one that has to be experienced to be appreciated. You feel like Bobby Jones playing hickory and playing a 'stymie' on the green. Might be interesting, might be irritating, it is up to the player to decide
