One of the best conditioned courses in Oregon
Played today but joined two years ago. Shadow Hills is consistently in fantastic shape. Greens are some of the best I have played in Oregon year around and the course drains well after the rain. Shadow Hills was home to a Nike/Hogan tour event for many years and the players voted the greens the best they play. It's a valley course so it is very flat and walkable. A lot of doglegs which require you to negotiate tress, water hazards and sand traps in order to position yourself for your next shot. Water also comes into play on 9 holes. Good mix of Par 4's of varying lengths. The par 5's seem to play longer than their stated yardage . One gripe about the layout is 3 of the par 3's are of similar length and play over or around water. Would be nice to have some more yardage variation amongst the short holes. There is a nice Club house, pool, workout room and the best practice area in Oregon. Would definitely recommend that you play Shadow Hills and by all means have drink on the patio afterwards and take in a sunset it's a great place to be
Great course and fun!
Good course for any level of play. Plays consistent, has some nice challenges and the bunkers of have nice sand.
I have played several times now usually in the summer each year. It is a long course, or feels long. Some nice par 5's that will work your skills into madness if you are not focused.
The staff are awesome and the food is super.
Nice carts for riding, but the course if very walk able on the front. There a few hills on the back.
