Rude service
Very rude sales rep guy at pro shop. Needs help on his customer service or better yet his overall social skills.
Great Labor Day
Took my friend who is a Beginner and we had a blast. Played the nine hole course twice. It is very short and a great place for beginners or older folks hoping for a nice walk. Course was overbooked and pace of play was VERY long, but it was in great shape.
Incredibly nice course.
This is the nicest course I've played in a long time. The greens were great, and rolled with a good pace. There was a tournament the day before, but you wouldn't have known it by the course condition.
Course is maintained well
The course is well taken care of. The fairways and greens were cut nicely. We have played this course twice. The greens are moderate to fast.
good
course was in great shape..greens were perfect..worth going and playing..each hole is unique and difficult
With a Hot Deal this course is a great deal
With a Hot Deal this course is a great deal. I wouldnt play it at regular price but it is a good nine holes.
Good course for the money
A very good course for the money. Well maintained. Not long but plenty of opportunity to use your driver.
Wonderful little gem
Summerfield is a little retirement community course that makes for a great time out when you don't feel like playing a full length course yet it's more course than a pitch'n'putt.
The layout for the most part is pretty entertaining even with the lack of yardage. Great for people who don't enjoy taking 6 strokes to reach the green on a 550yd par 5 (like me). The course is house (and street) lined for the most part as you'd expect but there's usually enough bail out room.
The greens were in great shape despite the weather. There are wet and muddy spots in the fairways but overall not too bad. I only experienced plugging on a few spots and they weren't the "full monty" plugs as in I could find the balls afterwards.
Pro shop is friendly and accommodating.
Great way to spend a nice day
Nice golf course! We will definitely play this course again!
Sanded greens
Courses should be required to disclose when greens have been freshly punched & sanded
The grounds are well taken care of.
A nice smaller track that is kept in good condition. Greens are in great shape. The course was busy yet the pace kept going.
The landscape is very well kept.
It's a beautiful little course when your energy isn't up to a full round and you want a little iron practice, with a few drives mixed in. It was a perfect little Sunday walk.
Dad and the Boys
My sons are getting ready to finish High School. They enjoy playing golf with me, and it is one of the few things they do enjoy doing with me, so this was a treat. They are not yet accomplished golfers, so this course -- at moderate in skill level -- is perfect for us. Greens were in excellent shape, and fast; fairways and rough were well tended.
Not a deal when pace of play is slow
Is it a deal when you pay 40% less for green fees yet the pace of play is 40% longer?
Fun day out.
Fun round. Course kept in excellent condition. Great staff.
A fine nine-holer.
The course is in excellent condition, the prices are reasonable, and the layout is well-designed for older players. This must be the best nine-hole course in the Portland area.
Great place to play a cheap round.
The course is in great shape- on par with some private courses. The greans are really a high point. They're fast and true. Cheap to play, great place to keep your game sharp. It can be slow though.
Great
Great round of golf. Enjoyed the course and people I played with on this round.
A Gem in the suburbs...
The first time I played Summerfield I wasn't thrilled with it being lined by houses. I got over that right away! The little track is meticulously groomed. The greens keeper has true pride in his job. The retirement community is wonderful and I have never, ever had a bad time playing with a member. Its welcome to the public and the local high school practices there as well. Its so fun to play and can be changeling. You could just play it with your irons only if you need to practice that part of your game. The third hole is my favorite and the fifth is my second, a great waterhole. I truly appreciate this little gem...
Great Executive level course, especially in winter.
This course is very well maintained in winter with excellent drainage. I like to play here in the winter since it's not soggy and very few other players. Played yesterday and we had the place to ourselves.. I would give it 5 stars but you can't get an adult beverage there!
