ALOHA, Ore. -- It doesn't take long to figure out there's something unique about The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club: There are grapevines leading into the club and wine tasting at the front entrance.
Which course you'll play is also a unique experience. There are two courses (one is for private members and their guests, and the other is for the public and resort guests), and they alternate between being public and private.
If you're fortunate enough to play the South Course, you're in for a real treat. Designed by John Fought, the par-72, 7,127-yard layout opened in 1997. The traditional American design features beautiful trees and numerous bunkers on its natural terrain.
The Reserve hosted the PGA Tour's JELD-WEN Tradition from 2003-06 and has received a four-and-a-half-star rating from Golf Digest since 2002.
Other amenities at The Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club include a 40,000-square-foot clubhouse, including the Vintage Room Restaurant (which serves the club's own private label of wine), a 15-acre driving range with grass tees and a golf-teaching academy.
